About Merge PDF

Workforge Merge PDF combines two or more PDF documents into a single file, right in your browser. Unlike server-based tools that ask you to upload your files to a stranger's machine, this tool runs entirely on your device using a modern PDF engine. There is no upload step, no waiting queue, no watermark on the output, and no signup. Drop your files, drag the rows to set the order, and the merged PDF downloads in one click.

Typical use cases include consolidating a bid package, stitching together signed contract pages, combining bank statements before sending to a CPA, assembling a portfolio from individual project PDFs, and merging the output of scan-to-PDF apps into a single document. Because the merge happens in browser memory, the only real limit is how much RAM your device has. Multi-hundred-megabyte documents merge fine on a modern laptop.

The tool preserves the original page content, embedded fonts, vector graphics, and bookmarks of each source file. Encrypted PDFs must be decrypted before merging - the tool will warn you if a file is locked. Form fields are kept as standard PDF objects, but digital signatures will need to be re-applied if you need cryptographic validity on the merged document.

Most online PDF mergers either upload your file to a third party, watermark the output, gate the export behind a free trial, or cap free use at two or three files per day. Workforge Merge PDF has none of those limits. The privacy model is simple: nothing leaves your browser. Merge as many PDFs as you need, as often as you need.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The merge runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. There is no server endpoint for the file data and no log.

Is there a file size or page count limit?

There is no hard limit. The practical limit is your browser's available memory. Most laptops handle several hundred megabytes of input without issue.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. Remove the password first using your PDF reader. The merger will detect a locked file and warn you before it tries.

Will the output have a watermark?

No. There is no watermark on Workforge tools, ever. You also do not need to sign up to download.

Will bookmarks and form fields be preserved?

Yes. Page content, embedded fonts, vector graphics, and existing bookmarks are kept. Form fields are retained as PDF objects, but you will need to re-sign if you need digital signature validity.
