HEIC to JPG
Browser-onlyConvert iPhone HEIC and HEIF photos to JPG or PNG. Preserves EXIF and image quality. All in your browser.
About HEIC to JPG
Workforge HEIC to JPG decodes iPhone HEIC and HEIF photos and re-encodes them as universally supported JPG or PNG, all in your browser. iOS 11 and later shoot photos in HEIC by default because it is roughly half the size of JPG at the same quality. The downside is that Windows, most non-Apple photo editors, and many web upload forms still cannot open HEIC. This tool bridges that gap without uploading a single byte to a server.
Choose your target format (JPG or PNG) and quality level. The default JPG quality is 92, which is visually indistinguishable from the source for almost all photos. EXIF metadata - date taken, GPS location, camera settings, orientation - is copied into the output so your photo library keeps its organizational data. If you prefer to strip EXIF for privacy, a checkbox does that in one click.
Batch mode lets you drop many HEIC files at once and download the results as a single ZIP. Filenames are preserved with the extension changed. If a file is actually HEIF or HEIC in an unusual variant (10-bit, wide gamut, Live Photo container), the decoder handles it gracefully and returns the best-effort JPG. Live Photos convert as the still frame; use HEIC to GIF if you want the motion track.
Most HEIC converters upload your photos, cap free conversions per day, or watermark the output for the free tier. Workforge HEIC to JPG does none of that. Convert a hundred iPhone photos here and none of them touch a server. The output is clean JPG or PNG with no branding.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Decoding and re-encoding happen locally in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.
Is EXIF metadata preserved?
Yes by default. Date, GPS, camera settings, and orientation are copied to the output. A checkbox lets you strip EXIF if you prefer.
Will there be quality loss?
At the default JPG quality (92), the output is visually indistinguishable from the source. Choose PNG for lossless output.
How many photos can I convert at once?
No hard limit. Batches of dozens to hundreds of photos work on a modern laptop. Very large batches are downloaded as a single ZIP.
How do I get HEIC files off my iPhone?
AirDrop to a Mac, connect via USB, or download from iCloud.com. All keep the original HEIC. Email and Messages often auto-convert to JPG.
