About PNG to JPG

Workforge PNG to JPG re-encodes PNG images as JPG in your browser. JPG typically produces files 60 to 90 percent smaller than PNG for photographic content, which makes it the better choice for email attachments, web hero images, and platforms that reject PNG uploads. The trade-off is that JPG has no transparency and uses lossy compression - this tool exposes both those choices as controls you can tune.

Choose your JPG quality (default 92, which is visually indistinguishable from the source for most images) and a background color to fill any transparent pixels (default white). A live preview shows exactly how the output will look at your chosen settings. If you need to keep transparency, use the WebP Converter or Image Compressor instead - both of those keep the alpha channel intact.

Batch mode accepts many PNGs at once and returns a ZIP with all JPG results. Filenames keep their base with the extension changed. EXIF and color profiles copy through by default; strip them via checkbox if you want the smallest possible output. Original resolution is preserved - the tool does not downscale.

Most PNG-to-JPG tools upload your images or paywall batch conversion. Workforge PNG to JPG stays in your browser and has no batch cap. Convert one image or a folder of hundreds; the flow is the same, the output has no watermark, and no signup is required.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion runs in your browser. Your images never leave your device.

How is transparency handled?

Transparent pixels are filled with your chosen background color (default white). If you need to keep transparency, use WebP instead of JPG.

How much quality is lost?

At quality 92 (the default) the loss is imperceptible. Lower quality settings produce smaller files with visible artifacts.

Can I convert many PNGs at once?

Yes. Batch mode accepts many files and returns a ZIP. There is no hard cap on batch size.

Is EXIF metadata preserved?

Yes by default. Optional checkbox strips EXIF for smaller output or privacy.
