About Image Compressor
Workforge Image Compressor shrinks JPG, PNG, and WebP images using modern codecs (mozjpeg for JPG, oxipng for PNG, and the reference WebP encoder), all in your browser. Choose a quality level from 0 to 100, or set a target output size in kilobytes and let the tool find the right quality automatically. A side-by-side preview shows original and compressed at 1:1 so you can confirm quality before downloading.
Typical results: photos compress 60 to 80 percent at quality 75-85 with no visible loss. Screenshots and graphics compress even further because PNG supports lossless size reduction through better dictionary encoding and palette optimization. WebP output is usually 25 to 35 percent smaller than the equivalent-quality JPG.
Batch mode accepts many images at once and returns a ZIP. You can drag in a folder of 50 images and the tool processes them in parallel, respecting your CPU core count. EXIF metadata and color profiles (sRGB, Display P3) are preserved by default; checkboxes let you strip them if you want the smallest possible output.
Popular alternatives like TinyPNG cap free use at 20 images per day and require upload. Workforge Image Compressor has no cap, no upload, and no signup. Compress a thousand images here in one session and the tool does not know or care.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser. Your images never leave your device.
How much smaller will my images get?
Photos typically shrink 60 to 80 percent at high visual quality. Screenshots and graphics can shrink further. Exact savings depend on the source.
Is there a lossless option?
Yes. PNG compression is lossless by default. For JPG, choose quality 100 or convert to lossless WebP.
How many images can I compress at once?
No hard limit. The tool processes in parallel using your CPU cores. Batches of 50 to 100 images work fine on a modern laptop.
Are EXIF and color profile preserved?
Yes by default. EXIF metadata and embedded color profiles (sRGB, Display P3) pass through. Checkboxes let you strip them for smaller output.
